How to Use the Kit
Begin with the compass and thermometer — practise taking bearings in the garden or local park. Work through the eight knots on the reference card (start with the reef knot), then move on to the harder ones. Pack the binoculars, torch and carabiners for a family walk and let them navigate. Finish by flying the diamond kite on a breezy day. Each skill builds independence they'll use for years.
